'OLEARIA SAN GIORGIO': OUR FAMILY'S ESTATES. Giorgio Morgeto (RC) Italy. C/da Ricevuto, 18
Olearia San Giorgio is located in the foot hills of the Aspromonte, in the town of San Giorgio Morgeto, Calabria, Italy. It is owned and operated by the Fazari Brothers. It was in 1940 when their father, Domenico Fazari, rented the first Olive Press and a fertile plot of land. Since then they have been producing Virgin and Extra-Virgin Olive Oils from the Corolea and Ottobratica Olives which have grown on their land for several millennia. In recent years the Oils produced by Olearia San Giorgio have enjoyed international success in Olive Oil festivals and tastings, as well as commercial success in domestic and foreign markets. Their oil has remained true to its origins while the family has adopted modern techniques of collection, crushing, extracting and storage. The Oils undergo a multitude of sensory, olfactory and organoleptic analyses in order to determine their final grade, and ensure that only those of optimal purity become commercially available. All of the oil they produce is made exclusively from the Olives grown on their estate, and their production complies with regional and international standards set forth to ensure the quality and purity of their Extra-Virgin and Virgin Olive Oils. Their oils are sold to the public by select locations in Northern Italy, Germany and, most recently Canada.
A word from the Family:
"The strategic goal is to further increase the value of our excellent oil by protecting, defending and commercially organizing it for the economic and social benefits it brings to our territory. To do so it is necessary to go back to our roots, especially from a nutritional point of view. In doing so we may begin to review our habits and renew our relationship with nature."
