This single single estate extra virgin olive oil is the most ancient of the Gradassi Estate. Before the creation of the DOP (Protected Designation of Origin), this extra virgin olive oil was classified as “Typical Umbrian”. The olives are hand picked and rapidly cold extracted. This single estate extra virgin olive oil is from the new autumn harvest, hence its name “Autumn Flower”. This unfiltered extra virgin olive oil is cold extracted from the not fully mature olives picked at the very beginning of the harvest. The act of not filtering the oil leaves residues of the olive pulp thus producing a very unique taste of freshly pressed olives.
This exclusive and unique oil enjoys a fresh, herbaceous bouquet and contains high levels of poliphenols and an extremely low acidity level. Fiore d’Autunno is an exceedingly high quality product which manages to embody the flavours of a rich farming tradition together with the respect for our environment.
Cultivar: 60% Moraiolo, 20% Leccino and 20 % Frantoio
Tasting Notes: A very dense, strong fruity flavoured extra virgin olive oil. Fresh grass aroma, green olive taste with peppery and bitter aftertaste.
